Process of pool installation, Step wise

The following is a step-by-step guide to installing your swimming pool, from start to finish. When you meet with one of our designers for a free consultation and estimate, they can go through each stage in more detail.

The pool designer will take the information you provide and make a drawing of the pool. pool in the area you specify on your property.

Layout and Excavation

This is the first step in building your salt water pool . The layout as well as the excavation are completed on the same day. The construction manager and excavation crew will meet with you to plan the layout of the pool. They will start digging the pool after you approve the location and elevation of the pool. This day will be used to remove any excess soil that will not be marked in the yard.

They will only remove soil in the yard at this time. The location of your filtering equipment and light junction boxes will also be confirmed by the construction superintendent. If you have not yet finalized your coping and tile options, you will need to do so now to avoid any delays in the construction process. This is the day your excavation installment must be paid.

Steel Reinforcing

This is where the support structure of your pool is built. Our gunite shell derives structural strength from the steel setting. Once the steel has been installed, the township will contact for a building inspection and a partial bonding inspection.

At this point the pool shell was constructed. For this part of the project, we will need to use your outside water supply. You may need to stay a while to approve the placement of any banks and your steps. This is also when gunite installation should be.

Pool plumbing and filter equipment will be installed and pressure checked today. This step does not require your presence because the equipment and light junction boxes are installed during the layout and excavation. If you need an electrician and gas plumber, you're ready.

Coping and Tile

Now that you can see that your saltwater pool is done. Your raised coping wall and tiling, as well as, if necessary, facestone, will be installed. You do not need to attend again for this stage.

Electricity and Gas

Power and gas lines must be connected after the pool filter equipment is installed.

If you hire your own decking contractor, it is your decking contractor's job to ensure that the decking is not finished until all necessary inspections have been performed. , such as gas and electric. trenches, and bonding. You should also be concerned that the installed decking will not exceed or affect any shrinkage or township limits and the cost of the decking will not exceed any total lot coverage. Backfilling of any gutters that may interfere with deck installation is the responsibility of whoever makes the decking.

It is also important that the decking system, concrete, or pavers have adequate expansion, with no at least 12 ″ x 4 ″ ethafoam expansion connection between the deck and the coping pool and shell. If you do not install it, you risk damaging the coping, tile, and gunite shell of your pool, which will not be covered under warranty.

After decking, the fencing around your saltwater pool should be erected. They will not be able to start filling your pool until a permanent fence is placed due to local building laws. They ask that a portion of the fence be removed so they can access the saltwater pool to plaster it.

This is the right time to start planning your pool party. This is the final step in the saltwater poo l construction process. We left the pool to fill your water supply after doing the plaster. DO NOT finish water from filling the pool during the filling phase. Where the water is turned off, a stain or ring may appear on the surface of the pool plaster. Stop filling the pool after the water reaches the center of the tile and call the office to schedule the start. This is the moment to pay for plaster.
