One of the things I missed about travel was all the design inspiration I gathered when I went to a really special place. I am starting a new monthly series of design inspiration integration destinations. I love when the hotels and accommodation of a destination reflect the culture and history of the place and resist the temptation to dive into the sea of equality .
I have visited Italy several times in my twenties but haven long since never returned. I love architecture, history, food, and scenery and I dream of a road trip around the Amalfi Coast. Those old hotels staggered over rocky cliffs with stunning views of the blue sea, fresh seafood and local wines, boats and beaches and botanical beaches. * sigh *
So I didn & # 39; t start the series by bringing holiday vibe from the west coast of Italy with you with these capture designs that I found within hotels and resorts located on the Amalfi Coast and on the island of Capri.
Destination Design: Amalfi + Capri
dare to bathroom with colored or patterned tiles
glass door paint of a happy color, add some pillows to bright patterns
add color to interior arches and niches
have fun with geometric patterned floor tiles
mix bright colored slipcovered furniture with plants
you can not go wrong with an oversized glass air -frame
a topped headboard in a bright color makes a great focal point
playing with pattern behind the bed
mix the shapes of the glass frame
a checkered floor is always classic
just let the plants climb the walls
If you click on the links above, you will be treated to the photo galleries of all these hotels and resorts will take you away for a moment to this fascinating part of the world.
While we can't travel there now, we can somehow appreciate its beauty from our own corner and visit almost. Yay internet!
Isn't this going to be a fun series? Look for another Destination Design feature in February!
